Campaign 5-Drawer Box

Inspired by John and Mary Newby, a sophisticated couple from New South Wales who traveled in the 1920's to the camel fair held in Pushkar, Rajasthan each year.  Their travel required that they be supplied with every necessity, including fine wines and gourmet delicacies not likely to be found on their route.  These are the sort of sturdy boxes with brass corners that were strapped to their Bentley.  Finished in a style called "de Voyage", with Grand Hotel labels from the Newby's travels, each box whispers the allure of adventure.   Made of cherry and birch, with brass corners and hardware.  Also available in a honey finish, click here to view the Honey Finish Campaign 5-Drawer Box.  Light assembly required.

High-ranking British officers enjoyed a lifestyle "under canvas" that allowed the transportation of luxuriously appointed furnishings, designed to travel well and serve their owners in the style to which they were accustomed.  Despite their substantial and stylish appearance, the pieces were cleverly designed to quickly break down and re-assemble without the use of nails or tools, in time for afternoon tea or an evening "encamp".  The solid functionality of these clever pieces lends itself well to modern interiors.  Classic proportions and elegant, distressed finishes add a lived-in, comfortable statement of character that will express the owner's reference to history and confidence in good style.
