Zeppelin, 1937
 This
replica of the German passenger airship, the LZ 129 Hindenburg, is hand made
by skilled craftsmen, with 600 hand-glued joints. Exterior fabric is
stretched over the lightweight frame, creating the same look and feel of the
rigid passenger-carrying airship. The disaster that befell the
Hindenburg in 1937 ended the era of the graceful airships that voyaged
across the Pacific and Atlantic oceans in the 1920's and 30's.
Stretching over 44" long, this model makes an impressive display in an
office or den. An ideal gift for anyone interested in vintage flight.
